To drive the implementation of the Country Operational Risk Management Framework that sets out enterprise-level governance, policies, and practices to proactively identify, assess, measure, report on, mitigate, and control operational risk exposures.
𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬
𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, Law, Economics, ACCA, CIMA
𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞
At least 7 years’ experience in Risk Management/ Internal/ External Audit/Regulatory Compliance/Supervision within Financial Services.
𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞
• Understanding of the business drivers and the strategic direction of the business, and the role of risk management in achieving the objectives.
• Awareness of current industry threats, trends, technologies and issues that potentially affect the organization’s business.
• Knowledge of risk management best practices and how to implement them.
• Knowledge of global operational risk management principles, practices, and regulatory issues (Basel, etc.)
• Knowledge of Financial Sector Industry law, rules, and regulations.
𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬
• Ability to implement operational risk programs at scale; experience leading risk mitigation strategies and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Strong project management experience with an ability to partner across functional teams and communicate with technical and non-technical users.
• Ability to negotiate with all levels of management to influence decisions, make recommendations, and implement change.
• Good planning and organizational skills, and a creative and innovative approach to work.
𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐬/𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬
• Implements the country’s operational risk management framework, standards, and methodology.
• Monitors the country’s set appropriate risk tolerance levels.
• Identifies operational risks and assesses the adequacy of controls to manage such risks, including recommending enhanced or additional controls.
• Facilitates the alignment of the risk management process with the Company’s Policies and the appropriate regulatory framework.
