NTU International is leading the EU SEA Lot 6 FWC and we have been invited to submit our proposal for an assignment, titled ” Technical support to The Economic Transformation, Trade, Industry, and Mining (ETTIM)”.

Location: Normal place of performance of the specific assignment: AUC Headquarters Addis Ababa. Mission(s) outside the normal place of performance and duration(s): Occasional travel to AU member states as required. Approximately 6 missions in Africa.

Duration: The indicative start date is 06/01/2025 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 270 Day(s) from this date (indicative end date: 03/10/2025).

DRM expert (Cat. II):

☝️General description of the position:

The purpose of the position is to strengthen the capacity of the Economic Transformation, Trade, Industry, and Mining (ETTIM) team through support in the areas of tax and domestic resource mobilisation (DRM). This will include technical support to the ETTIM team, contributing to the development of strategies for improved DRM and supporting the implementation of tax reforms in Africa.

☝️Qualifications and skills required:

  • Completed university studies of at least 3 years in Economics, Public Finance, Taxation, or a related field. Strong analytical and report writing skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Language skills: English or French; knowledge of other AU working languages is an advantage.

☝️General professional experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in economics, tax policy, administration, or domestic resource mobilization.

☝️Specific professional experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience providing technical assistance to governments or international organizations on tax and economic matters.
