Key Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues
- Install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, network devices, CCTV, and other office IT equipment
- Respond to user-reported problems in a timely and effective manner using the Jira ticketing system
- Manage user devices using the device management tool – Intune
- Manage user accounts, access rights, and permissions in Azure AD, O365, and other systems
- Physical network, device installation, and maintenance-related tasks (cable patching, device installation, configuration)
- Maintain knowledge base for use of IT services, software, and equipment.
- Perform IT equipment purchases according to internal procedures
- Keep and update the inventory of all IT equipment and software licenses using the asset register
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance with vendors when necessary.
- Participating in security investigations and compliance reviews, as requested by internal or external auditors
- Participating in IT-related projects such as system upgrades, migrations, or rollouts
- Provide training or documentation to end users when rolling out new technologies
- Provide one-on-one or group training sessions on company systems and tools
Requirements for the IT Technician
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar IT support or officer role
- Knowledge of Windows environments, networking, and security fundamentals
- Experience in workstation management, antivirus software, file sharing/collaboration, e-mail, and directory services
- Experience in installation and maintenance of IT infrastructure and equipment – cabling, racking
- Experience in purchasing IT hardware and software
- Knowledge of managing IT asset inventory
- Fundamental knowledge of physical security principles
- Experience managing and maintaining physical security systems (biometric access control, CCTV) preferred
- Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Hard working, a competence in prioritizing, and working with little supervision
