Chaperone Limited is a highly customer-centric and innovative financial technology company. We are licensed by the Central Bank of Lesotho as an Issuer of Electronic Payment Instrument in terms of section 12 of the Payment Systems Act No. 55 of 2014. We wish to recruit a team player who is highly talented and driven to fill the position of Software Engineer, reporting directly to the Software Development Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop commercially viable, fully functional applications to drive customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
- Write unit tests to identify malfunctions. Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance. Ensure new and legacy applications meet quality standards.
- Design, build, test, and document new features and products, integrating with partner, customer, and enterprise systems.
- Develop and maintain Open APIs for seamless remote partner self-service integrations.
- Contribute to the exploration and implementation of relevant Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Mining capabilities and tools.
- Adhere to best-practices for open architecture, safety, security and information assurance/cyber security.

Qualifications, Experience and Exposure
- At least 2 years’ professional experience in Software Development.
- Minimum of BSC or Any Post-Graduate qualification in Computer Science or Engineering or Information Technology.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience developing mass market consumer applications.
