About the Position

MG Health is a licensed medical cannabis cultivator and manufacturer based in Ha Marakabei, in the district of Maseru. We are seeking to appoint a Human Resource Manager to lead the HR function at our site.

The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills in both English and Sesotho, demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, and have the ability to manage a diverse workforce.

The Human Resource Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of HR functions and for providing strategic guidance to support company efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise, guide, and support managers on all matters related to employee relations.
  • Handle disciplinary, grievance, and conflict resolution matters.
  • Develop and maintain effective employee relations across the organization.
  • Monitor trends in employment practices and recommend proactive interventions.
  • Guide employee welfare and coach line managers
  • Ensure full compliance with current labour legislation
  • Lead all employee relations initiatives within the organization.
  • Represent the company at the DDPR for conciliation and arbitration
  • Engage with union representatives to resolve matters proactively
  • Handle and resolve staff-related enquiries and concerns
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and placement in line with company policies
  • Implement HR objectives aligned with company goals
  • Design and manage performance management systems
  • Administer payroll and benefits
  • Handle work and residence permit applications
  • Develop HR policies aligned with the company’s strategic direction
  • Prepare HR reports for submission to the Board of Directors
  • Perform any other HR-related duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, or Industrial and Organisational Psychology
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in human resources practice
  • Proven experience managing a staff complement of at least 100 employees
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Word and MS Excel
