Title: Part-Time Nurse
Purpose of the Job
To assess and identify the patient’s needs, then implement and monitor the patient’s plan and treatment. Ensure that the patient’s care is conducted according to the medical policies and standards.
Duties
- Implements the clinical aspects of the clinic.
- Provide Primary Health Care to students and CAS staff.
- Dispense appropriate drugs/ medication to clients.
- Refer complicated services to the nearby health facility/doctor.
- Keeps and maintains a record of drugs and equipment used in the clinic.
- Provides counselling to clients.
- Provides reports to management on the activities of the clinic, monthly, biannually, and annually.
- Develop and implement a clinic plan and budget.
- Facilitate the purchase of clinic medication and equipment.
- Supports any CAS activities/projects.
- Assists in conducting basic health education, talks, and counselling on primary health care to clients.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of a Diploma in nursing and twenty (20) years’ working experience
- Registration with the Lesotho Nursing Council
- Clinical knowledge in the areas of HIV/AIDS, STIs will be an added advantage.
