LIMKOKWING UNIVERSITY OF CREATIVE TECHNOLOGY
𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻 ( 𝗙𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗹)
The Warden will be responsible for ensuring safety, security, welfare, discipline and general well-being of students residing in the University campus while maintaining a conducive environment for learning and leaving.
𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
Student Welfare & Safeguarding:
• Ensure the safety, dignity and wellbeing of female residents.
• Monitor residents’ welfare and identify students experiencing emotional, social, academic or personal difficulties.
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries while remaining approachable and supportive.
• Recognize signs of abuse, exploitation, self-harm, bullying, harassment, substance misuse and other risks.
• Activate appropriate referral and safeguarding procedures when concerns arise.
Hostel Operations & Residential Procedures:
• Maintain accurate records of residents, room allocations, attendance/absence, visitors, incidents and emergencies.
• Enforce hostel rules consistently and fairly.
• Coordinate check-in/check-out procedures.
• Monitor cleanliness, maintenance, security and general living conditions.
• Report faults and follow up on repairs.
• Encourage positive relationships, responsible independence and leadership among residents.
• Facilitate hostel activities, wellness programmes, educational talks and life-skills sessions.
Emergency Response & Coordination:
• Act as the first point of coordination during emergencies.
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies, fires, security threats, missing students and other incidents.
• Know emergency contacts and university escalation procedures.
• Coordinate with Security, Clinic, SSD, Police, parents/guardians and university management when necessary.
• Maintain incident and emergency reports
𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 & 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞:
• A Diploma in Social Work or a related field (Student Affairs, Youth Development, Public Administration), with 2-3 years’ experience working with young people.
• Additional training in Student Affairs, Residence Management, Social Work or First Aid experience in a boarding school or university residence is an added advantage.
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office / Google Workspace, email, reporting and electronic records) is an added advantage.
