Job Title: Loan Officer
Location: Maseru, Lesotho

About Zee Financial Services

Zee Financial Services is a Micro-Finance Institution regulated by the Central Bank of Lesotho based in Maseru. We provide short-term loans including Student Loans, Business Loans, and Personal Loans (Civil Servants, Private Sector, and NGOs). We also provide free Financial Counselling to our clients. We are committed to reducing unemployment in Lesotho by providing opportunities to new graduates or anyone who has never been employed before to gain professional experience.

Job Description

We are looking for a fierce candidate for the position of Loan Officer who can start work anytime.

• Assess clients for loan application
• Explain clearly to clients about different loan options
• Explain to clients before signing about terms and conditions of the loan contract agreement
• Fill in loan contracts
• Register clients in a system
• Issue loans
• Remind clients about their payment period
• Update clients after payment
• Follow-up with clients who miss their payments
• Track clients who default from payment, both telephonically and physically
• Weekly plans and report-writing
• Any other duties assigned

Other Requirements

• Must reside in Maseru
• Must be able to keep Confidentiality at all times
• Must have a strong and bold character
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Must be fluent in Sesotho and English

Qualifications

• Tertiary Qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Any Tertiary Qualification

Skills and Experience

• No experience needed
• Must have good communication skills
• Must have vast knowledge of computer system softwares, especially Microsoft Office
• Tracking skills
• Having knowledge in loan softwares and systems like credit check, CIDAS, and loan management systems will be an added advantage
• Sales and Marketing skills will be an added advantage
• Time Management
