Lesotho Tourism Development Corporation (LTDC) invites applications from suitably qualified local candidates for the position of Information Technology Administrator.
Department: Finance and Administration
Job Title: Information Technology Administrator
Reports to: Head Finance and Administration
Purpose of the Job:
To Manage and control Information Technology related services and ensure that the Corporation is abreast with the latest IT standards.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, monitor, enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure adherence with the Corporation’s standard operating procedures.
- Develop and manage robust database systems for departments usage.
- Develop and lead the digital transformation strategy for the corporation aligning it with corporation’s goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain IT Roadmap that outlines the implementation of digital solutions.
- Liaise with departmental users to assist with analysis of systems and business processes.
- Prepare and manage IT Budget, and maintain financial discipline and accountability.
- Develop a robust IT strategy and implementation framework.
- Manage all IT projects and ensure they are delivered on-time and within budget.
- Ensure that users problems involving hardware, software peripherals or network components are managed and resolved in timely, professional manner.
- Liaison with all technology vendors and service providers, negotiate contracts, ensure quality service delivery solutions.
- Ensure the effective installation, configuration and maintenance of computer hardware, software and peripherals.
- Develop and maintain LTDC’s intranet and extranet.
- Administer and maintain the corporations web-portals, e.g. website.
- Establish and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols and data privacy practices to protect customer data and the organization’s digital assets from threats and breaches.
- Assist the Head of department in developing departmental plans and budget.
- Engage with hardware and software service level agreement.
- Administer the server infrastructure and ensures optimal performance.
- Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery plan and business continuity plans to ensure system availability and resilience.
- Produce activity reports for submission to management committee regarding IT related issues, develop and conduct in-house IT training for all users.
- Support the accounting package in use.
- Advice the corporation on all IT related issues and ensure adherence with IT industry standards.
Education and Qualifications:
BSc Computer Systems Engineering OR BSc Computer Science OR BSc Information Technology.
Professional Certifications (Highly Recommended)
Certificates strengthen your profile and can sometimes substitute for experience:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) – Networking fundamentals
- Microsoft Certified (e.g. Azure Administrator) – Windows servers & cloud
- CompTIA+ – Basic IT support
- CompTIA A+ – Networking basics
- CompTIA Security + – Cybersecurity fundamentals
Added Advantages (Technical Skills Required):
- Operating systems: Windows Server 2019, 2022 and 2025; Linux (Ubuntu, Centos)
- Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP; Routers & switches configuration
- System Administration: User account management; Server maintenance; Backup & recovery
- Cybersecurity Basics: Firewalls; Antivirus Management; Access control
- Cloud Computing: AWS
Professional Experience & Attributes:
- A Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
- At least 3 professional references.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good analytical skills
- Enthusiastic and self-driven
