Job Title: Research and Stakeholder Engagement Manager

Overview:

The Catalyst Study aims to generate practical evidence on effective HIV prevention approaches, with a particular focus on introducing Lenacapavir. Originally initiated under the MOSAIC project, the study seeks to deepen understanding of HIV prevention delivery models and strengthen national and community-level learning. With new funding secured, Jhpiego Lesotho will lead the consolidation of lessons learned, synthesis of implementation insights, and dissemination of findings to inform policy and enhance HIV prevention programming. This role will support high-quality documentation, stakeholder engagement, and community-focused dissemination to ensure a comprehensive and ethical close-out of all study activities.

The Research and Stakeholder Engagement Manager will support the completion, interpretation, and dissemination of study findings, ensuring meaningful engagement with the MOH, community structures, and relevant technical working groups. The role will also lead the development of publications, coordinate knowledge translation activities, and support national and international dissemination, including representation at IAS conferences.

This position is critical for synthesizing learnings from the implementation of the Catalyst study, supporting the country Principal Investigator (PI), and ensuring that evidence is communicated effectively to drive policy and program improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the development of manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.
  • Work closely with the Country PI, study investigators, and analysts to interpret findings.
  • Work closely with the country and regional consortium to prepare abstracts, presentations, and posters for conferences.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the Ministry of Health for dissemination activities.
  • Organize and facilitate technical meetings with MoH departments (including PrEP TWG).
  • Plan and execute in-country dissemination meetings and workshops.
  • Ensure dissemination outputs are culturally appropriate and accessible.
  • Oversee production of communication materials (reports, infographics, fact sheets).
  • Prepare policy briefs, slide decks, and summaries tailored for policymakers and program teams.
  • Support the translation of research findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Coordinate end-of-study dissemination with community structures, local health facilities, and district stakeholders.
  • Document community feedback and integrate into dissemination products.
  • Represent and present project findings in national, regional, and global platforms as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6-7 years of experience in implementation research, research dissemination, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Prior Experience working on the catalyst study is critical.
  • Proven track record of scientific writing and publication in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Experience leading high-level engagements with Ministries of Health and technical partners.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Experience working on the catalyst study is critical.
  • Experience in knowledge translation or policy communication.
  • Previous presentation experience at international HIV conferences.
